First container train sent from Türkiye to China via Kazakhstan along Middle Corridor

The first return shipment has been organized along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) from Türkiye to China via Kazakhstan.

KTZ Express, a subsidiary of Kazakhstan’s national railway company, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ), in collaboration with Türkiye’s Pacific Eurasia Lojistik Dış Ticaret A.Ş. sent a container train from Türkiye to China via Kazakhstan, according to KTZ.

The train carrying 50 forty-foot containers with household refrigerators traveled from Izmir (Türkiye) via the port of Aktau and the Altynkol station (Kazakhstan) to Chengxiang (Fujian Province, China).

Also known as the Middle Corridor, the TITR is a multimodal transport corridor linking China and Europe through Central Asia and the South Caucasus.

The transit time through Kazakhstan between the port of Aktau and the Altynkol station was 83 hours.

The return shipment confirms the growing demand for the Middle Corridor as an efficient and competitive solution for organizing eastbound transportation from Türkiye and European countries to China.
