Eurasian Creative Guild brings Kazakh author’s book to Latin America

Some meetings happen exactly where different worlds meet.

That was the feeling of a meeting in Montevideo between Marat Akhmedjanov, the founder and patron of the Eurasian Creative Guild (London), and the Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Uruguay, Martín Soca.

Latin America knows how to surprise, and Uruguay in particular. The country is often called the Switzerland of Latin America—stable, thoughtful, open to dialogue, yet warm and deeply human at the same time.

This was not a formal conversation. It was about the future.

About how Kazakhstan can be heard here, on another continent.

And how Latin America today is genuinely ready to discover Eurasia more closely.

A special place in the meeting was taken by the book by Kairat Zakiryanov, “Under the Wolf’s Nest: A Turkic Rhapsody”.

This is more than a book. It offers a fresh view on the history of Kazakhstan and its influence on world history.

What makes it especially valuable is that it is published in two languages – English and Kazakh.

It becomes not only a reading experience, but also a gateway into the Kazakh language, the global interest in which is steadily growing.

The meeting also discussed the idea of organizing a book presentation with the personal participation of the author at the National University of Uruguay.

The plan is to include it in the program of the 15th Open Eurasia Festival, scheduled for October 2027.

This is the next step—not just meetings, but real cultural bridges.

Latin America is ready to welcome Kazakhstan.

And the feeling is mutual.
