Uzbekistan introduces visa-free entry for U.S. citizens

Starting January 1, 2026, citizens of the United States of America will be able to enter Uzbekistan without a visa for a period of up to 30 days.

This measure is established by Presidential Decree of November 3, 2025, aimed at further strengthening Uzbek–American relations and creating favorable conditions for the development of cooperation in the trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, and tourism spheres.

The new policy represents an important step toward deepening mutual understanding and expanding business, academic and cultural exchanges between the two countries. The visa-free regime will enable U.S. citizens to travel more freely throughout Uzbekistan, discover its rich historical heritage, and explore its investment and tourism opportunities.

It is expected that the liberalization of the visa regime will contribute to an increase in tourist arrivals from the United States, strengthen business ties and promote Uzbekistan’s positive image on the international stage as an open and hospitable country.
