Uzbekistan expands rice exports, reaching the US

From January to November 2025, Uzbekistan exported 14,800 tons of rice to 11 foreign countries, generating a total revenue of $6.4 million, Dunyo information agency reported citing data from the National Statistical Committee.

The largest volumes of Uzbek rice were exported to Central Asian countries and neighboring states. Kazakhstan was the largest importer with 8,000 tons, followed by Tajikistan with 3,400 tons and Kyrgyzstan with 2,400 tons.

Shipments were also made to more distant markets. Notably, 824.8 tons of rice were exported to the United States, while smaller but steady volumes of 45.2 tons each were sent to Afghanistan and Turkey. A total of 113.5 tons was exported to other countries.

The growth in export volumes and the broad geographic reach underscore the competitiveness of Uzbek rice on the international market. Further development of the agricultural sector and logistics infrastructure provides a strong foundation for expanding exports and strengthening Uzbekistan’s position as a reliable food supplier.
