Uzbekistan and South Korea discuss construction of heat and power plant using agricultural waste

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan on January 27 with a delegation from Hyundai Heavy Industries Power Systems, Korea District Heating Corporation, and the Korea Institute for Climate Change.

The meeting discussed a project to construct a combined heat and power (CHP) plant utilizing agricultural waste as fuel. The discussion covered the project concept, proposed technological solutions, issues related to integrating the generated heat into the district heating system, as well as the overall prospects for project implementation.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further advancing the project, aimed at promoting green energy, enhancing energy efficiency, and strengthening investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea.
