As part of a working visit to Kyrgyzstan, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Akkulov held meetings with the management of Kyrgyzstan’s Asman Airlines and Aero Nomad Airlines. The parties explored opportunities to expand air connectivity between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, develop joint tourism products, and increase the flow of tourists between the two countries, according to the Uzbek Tourism Committee.
The sides noted that the close geographical proximity of the two nations, their rich historical and cultural heritage, and the growing interest of international travelers in combined tours across Central Asia create favorable conditions for launching new air routes and implementing joint tourism initiatives. Particular attention was given to expanding air links connecting Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Fergana, and Andijan with Bishkek, Osh, and Issyk-Kul.
During the meeting with the management of Aero Nomad Airlines, the parties reached an agreement to launch regular direct flights on the Bishkek–Tashkent–Bishkek route starting 23 August of this year, with a frequency of twice weekly. The introduction of this new air service will represent an important step toward strengthening tourism and business ties between the two countries and will contribute to further growth in passenger traffic.
During negotiations with the management of Asman Airlines, the parties discussed launching scheduled flights from Bishkek and Osh to Tashkent, as well as services to other high-demand destinations in Uzbekistan. They also agreed to jointly assess passenger demand and market needs in order to develop additional air routes.
Special attention was also paid to enhancing cooperation with the tourism sector. The parties agreed to intensify their joint efforts to promote Uzbekistan’s tourism potential among Kyrgyz tour operators and to raise awareness of the new air routes connecting the two countries.
