The phenomenon of “Uzbek-style Onlyfans,” where women earn money by sending erotic photos and videos in exchange for money transfers, is actively discussed on Uzbek social media. According to users, dozens of accounts with explicit avatars offering such content appear daily in Telegram groups, Tashkent Today reports.
The scheme is simple: for a certain amount of money (for instance, 300,000 Uzbek soums) deposited on a card, women send videos or photos in a specific pose, while hiding their faces. This has reportedly become quite a lucrative endeavor for some women, allowing them to earn up to a million soums a day without paying taxes or much effort.
Users express surprise at the high demand for such content among local audiences, which is what drives the proliferation of such accounts. To weed out erotic content, administrators of many groups have to carefully screen profiles before allowing users to access them.
