US company to produce thermal energy from medical waste in Uzbekistan

The Governor of Uzbekistan’s Fergana region, Khayrullo Bozorov, met with Stanislav Kushnir, the founder of the U.S. company Sayat LLC., to discuss the implementation of an investment project in the Fergana region aimed at generating alternative thermal energy through the disposal of medical waste.

Sayat LLC specializes in the construction of plants that produce alternative thermal energy from medical waste. Based on the Presidential Decree “On measures to implement the investment project ‘Production of alternative thermal energy from medical waste’,” modern stations are currently being built on the grounds of medical institutions in Tashkent city, as well as the Samarkand and Bukhara regions.

In the second phase of the project, spanning 2026–2030, similar facilities are planned to be launched in other regions of Uzbekistan.

Under this investment project, planned for implementation in cooperation with Sayat Green, the environmentally safe disposal of waste generated in medical institutions will be established, alongside the production of thermal energy.

Organizational and technical issues related to the project’s implementation were reviewed during the meeting.

The Governor emphasized the ecological significance of the project and expressed his full support. Furthermore, relevant organizations were instructed to provide the necessary assistance to the investor throughout the implementation process. The parties reached an agreement to accelerate joint efforts and proceed with the project’s execution.
