South Korean company plans to establish industrial park in Kazakhstan

Madiyar Sultanbek, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Kazakh Invest national company held a meeting with Yeonsu Oh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the South Korean company Microbus Co., Ltd.

The parties discussed opportunities for the establishment of a modern industrial park K-Smart, which will integrate manufacturing, logistics, and educational functions; the development of the electrical engineering and cable industry with an export orientation; as well as projects in the field of low-carbon energy and the rational use of water resources. The implementation of these initiatives will enable the introduction of advanced Korean technologies, the expansion of Kazakhstan’s industrial base, and the strengthening of its position as a regional hub for high-tech manufacturing.

Sultanbek noted that Microbus projects have high potential and align with Kazakhstan’s priorities in developing industrial infrastructure, introducing environmentally friendly technologies, and expanding the country’s export capacity.

Yeonsu Oh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Microbus Co., Ltd., emphasized that Kazakhstan offers favorable conditions for the implementation of long-term projects. He stated that the company intends to leverage its expertise and technologies to establish modern production facilities and is ready for a strategic partnership with Kazakhstan.

Earlier, Kazakh Invest and Microbus Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, energy, and industrial production in Kazakhstan.
