Kyrgyz park opened in Turkey’s Antalya

An inauguration ceremony was held on May 15 in the city of Antalya for the opening of the Manas Park, a symbol of Kyrgyz-Turkish friendship.

The park was established as a gesture of deep respect for the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people, as well as to further strengthen the friendly ties between the two brotherly nations.

The ceremony took place as part of a visit by a Kyrgyz delegation to Antalya, led by the Mayor of Balykchy, Azamat Arnabek uulu, with the purpose of establishing a sister-city relationship with the Kepez Municipality of Antalya.

The event was attended by the Deputy Governor of Antalya Province, Mr. Mustafa Hulusi Arat; Mayor of Kepez District, Mr. Mesut Kocagöz; Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Antalya, Mr. Rustam Koshonov; Kyrgyz expatriates and students studying at universities in the city.

As part of the ceremony, Mayor Azamat Arnabek uulu presented a traditional Kyrgyz yurt to the sister municipality of Kepez on behalf of the city of Balykchy. The yurt will be installed within the new park as a cultural element symbolizing the nomadic heritage of the Kyrgyz people.

In addition, the park will feature miniature models of notable landmarks from the Kyrgyz Republic, offering Antalya residents and visitors an opportunity to become more familiar with the architecture, history, and culture of Kyrgyzstan.
