Kazakhstan ranked among countries with lowest cuisine score

Kazakhstan has been ranked among the countries with the lowest national cuisine score in the world, according to the World Population Review, which published a ranking of the cuisines of 99 countries.

The ranking was an attempt to answer the question: What country has the best food?

In 2025, Kazakhstan scored 3.9 points, ranking 92nd.

Mediterranean and Asian cuisines received the highest scores. The top 3 countries with the highest average cuisine score included Greece, which took first place with a score of 4.6, followed by Italy (4.59) and Mexico (4.52).

The top 10 also included Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Indonesia, France, Japan, and China.

Nicaragua, Laos, and Bolivia had the three lowest scores.

According to the ranking’s authors, while the scores shown are compiled from approximately 400,000 individual ratings, the notion of a “best” cuisine is highly subjective, and one person’s idea of the best cuisine may differ greatly from another’s.
