Kazakhstan begins wheat flour export to U.S.

Kazakhstan has for the first time exported 50 tons of wheat flour to the U.S.

According to Kazakhstan’s QazTrade Center for Trade Policy Development, Kazakh flour is already available on Amazon and Walmart under the Eurasian Legacy brand. On Amazon, the product is priced at $14.50 per 1.36 kg package and is positioned as non-GMO glyphosate-free wheat flour. The packaging indicates its origin as “Product of Kazakhstan,” building the country’s image as a supplier of high-quality and environmentally friendly food products.

It is planned to increase flour exports to the U.S. to over 100 tons per month.

In addition to online sales, negotiations are underway to supply Kazakh flour to U.S. restaurants and coffee shops, as well as to major American retail chains.

In July, QazTrade opened a representative office in the United States to promote Kazakh food exports to the U.S.

“We are not limited to flour. We have already presented buckwheat, granola, talkan, chocolate, and cocoa in the United States, and partners in New York, Chicago, and Washington have had the opportunity to test their quality. A business mission of Kazakhstani producers to these cities is a logical next step. This is an opportunity not only to strengthen ties with partners but also to carve out a niche in the HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant, Cafe) segment, where natural and authentic products are valued,” said Aitmukhammed Aldazharov, CEO of QazTrade.
