A new university in Kazakhstan, inVision U, has launched the Foundation Year program and welcomed its first students from all over the country, according to the Kazakh Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
inVision U is founded and sponsored by Arsen Tomsky, the founder and CEO of inDrive, a global transport and urban services platform. Through the inVision U university, the company aims to provide equal access to quality education for students from all regions of Kazakhstan, providing free undergraduate education to students from all socioeconomic backgrounds and scholarships that cover accommodation, meals, transportation, and support for low-income students.
The Foundation Year is a full year of post-high school education that prepares students from disadvantaged, mostly rural backgrounds to enter and successfully complete the university’s bachelor’s degree programs.
inVision U was formally established in February 2025, when inDrive and Satbayev University, a technical university located in Almaty, signed an agreement to create inVision U as an autonomous innovative faculty of the Institute of Project Management of Satbayev University, to provide free higher education to talented school graduates from Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
