Antimony production plant commissioned in Tajikistan

On July 7, the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, inaugurated the Antimony Metallurgical Plant of the Talco Gold Closed Joint-Stock Company in the Sughd Province.

The enterprise is equipped with modern production technologies, and its annual capacity is up to 5 thousand tons of processing and production of antimony metal.

The commissioning of this production facility is of great importance for the effective use of the country’s mineral resources, increasing the volume of industrial production, export potential, developing domestic manufacturing, and creating new jobs.

Closed Joint Stock Company TALCO Gold was established for the purpose of development and processing of the Kanchoch gold and antimony deposit, and operates using modern technologies and digital production management systems. The deposit’s reserves amount to more than 23 million tons of ore, about 50 tons of gold, and more than 265 thousand tons of antimony, and it is one of the largest deposits in the region.

Rahmon emphasized that the rapid industrialization of the country, as the fourth strategic goal of the Government of Tajikistan, will be implemented through the construction of such production enterprises, the full processing of domestic raw materials, the production of competitive products, the growth of export potential, and the creation of new jobs.

Here, Rahmon also laid the foundation stone for the construction of another metallurgical enterprise with an annual production capacity of 2 tons of gold. This enterprise will be put into operation by August 2027.
