Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan to establish Business Council

An Afghan–Kyrgyz Forum was held in Bishkek with the participation of business representatives from both countries, including officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the Kyrgyz government, TOLOnews reported.

Addressing the forum, Abdul Shakoor Haqqani, acting head of the Afghan Embassy in Bishkek, emphasized expanding bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and transportation.

An agreement was also signed to establish a Joint Business Council between Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan, aimed at strengthening trade ties and promoting joint economic projects.

Ehsanullah Ehsan, head of public relations at the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI), said: “The Afghan–Kyrgyz Forum was held in Bishkek. Participants discussed ways to facilitate trade and expand commercial cooperation between Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan. In addition, the private sectors of both countries signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a Joint Business Council.”

Earlier, an Islamic Emirate delegation led by Sayed Karim Hashemi, President of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, visited Bishkek to participate in exhibitions organized on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meetings.
