With celebrations of the cultural capital which will feature over 100 artists from various countries of the Turkic World, Andijan will turn into a hub for international cultural and artistic events throughout the year.
While the welcoming ceremony featured colorful traditional music and dance performances, artists and guests had the opportunity to experience Andijan’s cultural richness from the very first moment.
In a statement, TÜRKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev noted that preparations, carried out in close cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan, were proceeding successfully, and added that the events to take place in the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2026 in Andijan will raise the profile of the Turkic World and its shared cultural values. Raev also stressed that events to be held in Andijan throughout the year will take the enthusiasm of the Cultural Capital to new heights.
Throughout 2026, Andijan will host concerts, exhibitions, festivals and international cultural gatherings.
