The Uzbek Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, held a meeting with representatives of the U.S. company Amazon Kuiper. The parties explored opportunities for cooperation in developing digital infrastructure and improving broadband Internet services in Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Ministry of Digital Technologies and Amazon Kuiper Commercial Services LLC. The document outlines joint efforts to enhance telecommunications infrastructure and expand access to high-speed Internet across Uzbekistan through the Project Kuiper satellite network.
Amazon Kuiper is a division of Amazon engaged in a global satellite Internet project aimed at delivering high-speed connectivity worldwide via a constellation of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites.
