Construction of a modern cable car system has begun at the Silk Road Samarkand tourist complex. The project aims to further enhance the region’s tourism appeal and create convenient, modern transport infrastructure for visitors, according to the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan.
The total length of the cable lines will be 1,700 meters. The system will consist of 35 cabins, each capable of carrying up to 10 passengers. The cable car will operate at a speed of 5 meters per second, with a capacity of up to 1,500 people per hour.
The implementation of this project will facilitate easier movement throughout the area, create additional landscaped spaces and new recreational opportunities for tourists. Furthermore, the cable car will contribute to the development of tourism infrastructure and increase the number of visitors to the Samarkand region.
