Uzbekistan begins export of pomegranates, quinces and persimmons to Britain

For the first time ever, pomegranates, quinces, and persimmons from Uzbekistan have been exported to the United Kingdom as part of the latest shipment of Uzbek agricultural products, official information agency Dunyo reported.

A total of three tons of produce was delivered via Uzbekistan Airways on the Tashkent-London route late in December. The exporter responsible for the shipment was Quva-Agro Star LLC.

British wholesale buyers praised the high quality and taste of the Uzbek fruits, expressing interest in purchasing larger volumes in the future.

Currently, Uzbek enterprises export more than 35 types of agricultural products to the UK market. Over the first ten months of 2025, the export of Uzbek fruits and vegetables to the United Kingdom increased 2.5-fold compared to the same period of the previous year.
