Tajikistan opens tank training area and 4 border posts on Afghan border

On December 24, Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon visited the Ministry of Defense and remotely put into operation a tank training area of the Harbmaydon training ground and four border outposts on the Tajik-Afghan border.

The new border outposts were built for the first time in this mountainous and difficult-to-access area of the state border with Afghanistan, which was not previously adequately protected, and for their operation in this area, a new motor road was built for a distance of more than 70 kilometers.

In recent years, the Tajik Border Troops have become more powerful and sophisticated, and the service and living conditions of officers and soldiers are improving.

Over the past 2-3 years, 80 new border posts have been built and provided with military machinery and equipment.

In all these border outposts, in addition to providing the necessary service conditions, including military dormitories, canteens, bathrooms, heating networks, training grounds, separate residential houses have also been built for officers and their families.
