Starlink launches in Kazakhstan

The Kazakh Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry has announced that starting from August 13, 2025, Starlink satellite internet is officially available to residents of Kazakhstan. Thanks to SpaceX’s network of low-orbit satellites, users across Kazakhstan will be able to access high-speed internet even in the most remote and hard-to-reach areas.

On June 12, the Ministry and Starlink, a subsidiary of SpaceX, signed an agreement under which Starlink commits to comply with the legislation of Kazakhstan when providing satellite internet services in the country.

The Starlink technology makes it possible to provide a stable connection in areas where traditional providers often fall short, opening up access for residents of rural and remote regions to modern digital services.

The initiative is being implemented as part of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s instruction to reduce the digital divide between urban and rural areas in Kazakhstan and aligns with the goals of the national “Affordable Internet” project.

Current rates and connection terms are available on the official website: https://www.starlink.com/
