New business school opens in Bishkek with Russian support

The Central Asia Higher School of Business, a joint project of the Central Asia Capital investment fund and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, has opened in Bishkek.

According to Central Asia Capital, this is the first internationally recognized MBA program in Central Asia, tailored to the realities of the CIS markets. The new school aims to develop the region’s talent pool and management elite by combining Russian academic standards with the practical business experience of Kyrgyzstan.

The MBA program was created in collaboration with IESE Business School (Barcelona), a recognized global leader in business education.

The school offers a hybrid model of teaching, including in-person sessions in Bishkek and Moscow and online modules. The program lasts 21 months and combines fundamental theory with practical case studies and project work.

The program includes courses in strategic management, corporate finance, marketing, change management, and digital business transformation.

Tuition is 400,000 soms (approximately $4,570) per year—five times lower than a similar program in Moscow. This makes the program affordable to a larger number of professionals and entrepreneurs in the region.

The first cohort includes 26 students, and the next is scheduled for spring 2026.

The opening ceremony was attended by Kyrgyzstan’s First Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiyev and Minister of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies Azamat Jamangulov. The officials emphasized that the project opens a new chapter in the development of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation and contributes to the formation of a common educational space within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), an economic integration bloc uniting Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia.
