A ceremony to launch the new production line at the Kant Cement Plant, the construction of which began in spring 2024, was held on June 16 in Kyrgyzstan. One year later, the plant begins operations on a renewed, environmentally friendly and energy-efficient platform, the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) reported.
The project involved the construction of a dry-process clinker burning line with a daily capacity of 2,500 tons. The equipment was supplied and installed by China’s Beijing Triumph International Engineering Co., Ltd. (part of Sinoma Holding, the world’s largest integrated solutions provider in the cement industry).
The total project value was approximately CNY 439 million. The EDB provided around US $50 million. All construction works were completed ahead of schedule and within the approved budget.
The new line will enable the plant to significantly improve production efficiency and reduce costs. In particular, it will substantially reduce coal consumption compared with the technology previously in use. This has a direct impact on pollutant emissions, making production more environmentally friendly and sustainable.
In addition, the upgrade will help reduce production costs, strengthening the plant’s competitive position in the region it serves (the capital and northern regions of the Kyrgyz Republic).

Established in 1964, the Kant Cement Plant produces four types of cement that meet international standards. The company employs around 800 people. Its products are used in the country’s key infrastructure projects, from the Naryn HPP Cascade to dams and airports across Kyrgyzstan.
