According to the latest analytical data from UN Tourism, published in the World Tourism Barometer, Uzbekistan recorded the highest growth in international tourist arrivals among European destinations in January–June 2026, according to the country’s Tourism Committee.
The number of international tourist arrivals to Uzbekistan increased by 25% compared with 2025, demonstrating the country’s continued strengthening position in the global tourism market.
According to the report, approximately 690 million international tourist arrivals were recorded worldwide in January–June 2026. Against global growth of 0.4% and 3% growth in Europe, Uzbekistan’s 25% increase demonstrates the strong growth rate of the country’s tourism sector.
Against the backdrop of global tourism trends, Uzbekistan has demonstrated particularly strong growth in tourist activity. More than 6.6 million tourists visited the country during the first six months of 2026.
These results reflect the practical impact of measures aimed at expanding international air connectivity, simplifying entry procedures, diversifying tourism products and actively promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism brand in international markets.
Uzbekistan’s leading position among European destinations in the UN Tourism ranking provides an important foundation for achieving the country’s target of increasing the number of international tourists to 20 million by 2030.
