Burabay International Short Film Festival shortlists potential winners

The organizers have announced filmmakers whose works have been selected for the Burabay International Short Film Festival (BISFF) 2026.

BISFF was founded by the Silk Road Media holding (London) in partnership with Eurasian Creative Guild (London) and is part of an international network of festivals and screenings covering the UK, Europe, and Latin America.

The final stage of the competition will take place at the festival on August 12–14 at the Burabay resort (Kazakhstan).

Broken Dawn by Hae-Oh Park

He’s Just Like Me by Seth Fireburst, Uzak Umarkhanov.

Winners will be determined after the live and online pitching sessions held during the festival on 12–14 August in Burabay, Kazakhstan.

BISFF is not just a competition and festival, but a gateway to the international festival ecosystem and real industry opportunities for short film creators and screenwriters. Winners will receive grants for the production and promotion of their projects.
