U.S. has deported over 1,000 illegal Uzbek immigrants

On March 11, the United States concluded a deportation flight to Uzbekistan, returning 72 Uzbekistani nationals who do not have legal authorization to remain in the United States, the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan said in a press release.

This flight is the latest in a series of ongoing actions as the United States secures its borders. Since President Trump took office, the United States has deported over 1,000 Uzbekistani nationals as part of its commitment to ending illegal immigration and protecting the nation’s borders and American citizens, the embassy said, adding that those who enter the United States illegally will face jail time and deportation.

The United States deeply thanks the Government of Uzbekistan for its close cooperation in facilitating U.S. deportation operations, the embassy stated.
