In 2025, trade between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan amounted to $4.97 billion, an 11.4% increase compared to the previous year. This was announced during a January 30 meeting between Uzbek Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov and Kazakh Ambassador to Uzbekistan Beibut Atamkulov.
The parties discussed the current state and future prospects of trade, economic, investment, and transport cooperation between the two countries. They noted a steady positive trend in bilateral trade and reaffirmed mutual commitment to further increasing trade turnover under the Joint Program aimed at raising bilateral trade to $10 billion by 2030.
The parties also reviewed preparations for the first meeting of the Council of Regional Leaders of the two countries in 2026, as well as the organization of the “Made in Uzbekistan” and “Made in Kazakhstan” industrial exhibitions in both countries.
Both sides confirmed their mutual interest in further deepening the strategic partnership, expanding investment cooperation and maintaining a regular and constructive dialogue.
