Uzbekistan: First energy capacities constructed in New Tashkent

On December 30, Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected energy facilities under construction on the territory of New Tashkent, which is currently under construction.

The modern trigeneration technology allows to simultaneously ensure the city with the heating and cooling, spending twice less energy than traditional sources. Production processes in traditional heating plants or cooling systems are carried out separately. During trigeneration all of them are integrated into one single technological chain.

Currently construction of main buildings and station facilities based on such technologies is being carried out in New Tashkent. The necessary equipment within the project fully complies with international energy efficiency requirements.

The project’s first phase envisions creation of capacities of 75 megawatts of heating and 100 megawatts of cooling. Generation of 17 megawatt of electricity will also be organized.

The first substation of New Tashkent has the capacity of 100 megawatts, which is enough for ensuring the initial needs of the city. The project is being implemented based on private-public partnership with the participation of Chinese company Haocheng Industry Group Limited.
