On October 16, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed proposals for new economic opportunities by using space monitoring.
Today, the goal is to use space analysis to identify new opportunities that could provide a strong impetus to economic development.
Hundreds of mineral deposits are auctioned annually in the country. Last year alone, 170 deposits were sold at auction, and 172 more since the beginning of this year.
However, cases of illegal exploitation of mineral resources remain. Since the beginning of this year, space monitoring has identified more than 2,000 such cases.
The Prosecutor General’s Office has been tasked with effectively using satellite analysis data on land, industrial facilities, and deposits in its efforts to prevent economic crimes.
In recent years, cadastral registration has been completed for 1,365,000 illegally constructed residential buildings. However, the problem of illegal construction has not yet been completely eliminated: since the beginning of the year, more than 33,000 such buildings have been identified, many of which located on agricultural land. Space monitoring can also help resolve this problem.
